The article is directly about what they say really happened at the recent Syrian gas attack. It talks about the logistics and the effects of the gas. It talks also extensively about what gas was used in the attack
The Douma Chemical Attack happened in the rebel occupied city of Douma on the 7th of April 2018 In a round about way, what happened was Assad decided to drop a toxic gas on the city of Douma, which is heavily populated with the rebels. However there is a much larger community of civilians also living there. Using any type of gas or chemical in warfare to kill is strictly against the UNs code of war. It is against the law basically. He still did it anyways. There are signs as well of the gas being a much more harmful substance than chlorine, which kills slowly, and a lot of the time is treated in time. This gas caused people to drop dead in the streets, leading me to believe it is something a lot more potent than chlorine. Approximately, 70 people died and 45 were showing symptoms of a gas attack. As explained before the gas attack was thought to have happened because Assad wanted to rid the city of the rebels. He believes that if he can break the rebels they will go away. People are now protesting Assad even more because of this attack. He didn't actually kill the amount of people he was trying for and he certainly didn't kill the rebel troops he was trying to. My opinion is honestly a rather harsh opinion. When it comes to things like this, I back the idea 100% that it is time to do something. I think that air striking Assad is the first step. I don't think we should go full on scorched earth and decimate everything and everyone, but these inhumane acts of violence from this monster aren't going to go away just because he shakes hands with America. It is time to stand up and help the people out of the predicament that they are in, because Russia and China aren't helping in the least. I will be commenting on Bre's and Andrew's Blogs
