was really crazy, and it made me kinda think for a second, ( I know shocking ). There were a lot of clues about some sort of secret going around, and as this progressed Offred began having more flash backs. The last thing I read about was one of the other Handmaid's mentioning a secret society, that would be able to help Offred. Then I stopped reading, because, cliff-hangers are wonderful.
The next question you are having me answer is kinda easy, because well, they made a TV show on it, so that kinda makes my life easy, however I have not watched this show, because it costs money. However the next part I can do, which is compare a person in the book to something in today's society. The crazy thing is that this book references the "regular world" quite often, so it is a rather fun book to read. There are many things that are just non existent in this world that are in ours, like normal clothing. They don't wear normal clothing, they wear robes. That is just one small thing out of the giant myriad of abnormalities in this book. many similarities between this world that we live in now and this books idea of the world. It is based in the 90s like I mentioned, but it seems like now America is one of the lowest 3rd world countries. They mention other countries like Japan and Australia, so it is on this earth, bit it seems so different.
I will be commenting on Adeline's and Bre's Post. The article is directly about what they say really happened at the recent Syrian gas attack. It talks about the logistics and the effects of the gas. It talks also extensively about what gas was used in the attack
The Douma Chemical Attack happened in the rebel occupied city of Douma on the 7th of April 2018 In a round about way, what happened was Assad decided to drop a toxic gas on the city of Douma, which is heavily populated with the rebels. However there is a much larger community of civilians also living there. Using any type of gas or chemical in warfare to kill is strictly against the UNs code of war. It is against the law basically. He still did it anyways. There are signs as well of the gas being a much more harmful substance than chlorine, which kills slowly, and a lot of the time is treated in time. This gas caused people to drop dead in the streets, leading me to believe it is something a lot more potent than chlorine. Approximately, 70 people died and 45 were showing symptoms of a gas attack. As explained before the gas attack was thought to have happened because Assad wanted to rid the city of the rebels. He believes that if he can break the rebels they will go away. People are now protesting Assad even more because of this attack. He didn't actually kill the amount of people he was trying for and he certainly didn't kill the rebel troops he was trying to. My opinion is honestly a rather harsh opinion. When it comes to things like this, I back the idea 100% that it is time to do something. I think that air striking Assad is the first step. I don't think we should go full on scorched earth and decimate everything and everyone, but these inhumane acts of violence from this monster aren't going to go away just because he shakes hands with America. It is time to stand up and help the people out of the predicament that they are in, because Russia and China aren't helping in the least. May 6th at 1:20 PM Virginia man hit with own car during police chase, authorities say... By Elizabeth Zwirz This article is about a man who was driving away from the cops in a car chase. He jumped out of the car, and ran in front of it. He then was hit by his rolling car and apprehended by the police. The police said the man was fine, however he was charged with multiple charges, one of which was hit and run. So that must mean that he got charged for hitting himself. This event happened in Virginia. This happened at 1 AM last Sunday. I'm not sure why he decided to run. Also there isn't much history behind this. He was found with weed and booze. My guess is that he was all hammered and decided it might be a good idea to run from the cops. Also come on dude, you couldn't run faster than your car going 5 MPH? Jesus. What is my opinion? That this guy needs to win the Darwin Award. I mean come on with smarts like he must be the best of the bunch. Survival of the fittest is sure coming out in the case. I will comment on Cole Lampro's and Nia Asbil's blog posts. Cheers
tower. No more boys were allowed across the border until 2015, but by that time most of them were dead, or had families that they couldn't leave. Benson now lives in San Diego California. What is a different ending?A different/better ending would be difficult to come up with. Because at the end of the day there can't be much of a sequel either. I think the perfect ending would be if the world could get more of those boys to safety. It is very sad that so many were killed or left behind. There are millions of young children skeletons scattered across the desert in Sudan. In my ideal world that would ever happen, and every one of those children were still alive.

Update/Summary: At this point they are traveling from their last camp/refuge to another camp across the country. All of the boys have been split up, however non of them have it easy per say. One of the boys named Benson is currently on a bus right now traveling. He passed millions of skulls on the side of the road. When he asks what they are |
the driver of the bus said that they were the skulls of the boys who had fallen asleep underneath the trees and never woken up. There were points where bandits would murder and rape thousands of the boys and throw them in the rivers for the crocodiles. Its a rather depressing book.
Pointing yourself in the book:
To be 100% honest, I have no idea how I would react in such a awful climate. I'm not sure I would live, or go insane. Each one of the 400,000 plus survivors each had their own horrific story to tell. The three million boys who died had even worse stories. I would honestly probably be dead. Every one of those boys were malnourished and emancipated. I would probably die.
Game over.

The Poured Fire on us From the Sky
By: Alephonsion Deng
Summary:The book has just gotten darker and darker, with no viably way to get out of it. The boys are dying left and right, thousands at a time. At this point they have traveled by foot across two countries seeking safety. Toward the end of this part of the book they found a refugee camp, however they were treated badly. Many became sick and died. Disease came from the mosquitoes and the |
millions of mites and fleas that devoured their emancipated bodies.
Character Relationships:
This part is rather easy. There are three main people being portrayed in this book.
Benson, Alepho, and Benjamin. They are three brothers who were split up during the raids. The chapters run through different points of view. However all of their goals are very much the same. Stay safe, Survive, and find their family and each other. They all love each other dearly, and feel when they find each other everything will be okay. The dinkan way ( Dinka being their tribe) is family before all else, so they fight fiercely for each other. I am exited to see how the rest of this book manifests itself.

They Poured Fire on us from the Sky
By: Deng, Alephonsion
Summary (Copied and Pasted) Benjamin, Alepho, and Benson were raised among the Dinka tribe of Sudan. Their world was an insulated, close-knit community of grass-roofed cottages, cattle herders, and tribal councils. The lions and pythons that prowled beyond the village fences were the greatest threat they knew. |
All that changed the night the government-armed Murahiliin began attacking their villages. Amid the chaos, screams, conflagration, and gunfire, five-year-old Benson and seven-year-old Benjamin fled into the dark night. Two years later, Alepho, age seven, was forced to do the same. Across the Southern Sudan, over the next five years, thousands of other boys did likewise, joining this stream of child refugees that became known as the Lost Boys.
Prediction: Personally at this point I don't really know. The boys have been pushed around the world and kicked out of everywhere. Most of them are sick, and the book mentions that they are dying left and right. I'm not sure if they will live. There is no real main character seeing as it is about like 5 different people's perspective. The book is so dark and brooding it's crazy. I'm also not 100 percent certain when the "Conflict" will be resolved, I just know the boys are heading down south to get away from the army.
I really enjoy this book though. I kinda had to make up my prediction only because I read the entire thing already. Your welcome.

1.) This was made by the New York Times. 2.) Published: Jan 20 2018 3.) The name of the article is literally freaking named "Tide Pods." Like how lazy and boring can you possibly be? 4.) The sad sad person who wrote this is Natalie Proulx. Who if you look at the link I provided on her name you will see that she has created many other insanely interesting articles like "Stamps" and "Family Cooking". 5.) The article is talking about how people took the already crappy joke about eating Tide Pods and actually ate them. Like little kids going, "Oh damn! Look mommy left some candy next to this bottle of bleach! Just chow down." They eat them and get violently ill or die (Survival of the fittest amirite) 6.) You want a summary? Here goes. So late 2017 college humor came out with a joke video about not eating tide pods. The video caught steam during the early parts of January. |
From there it was all downhill. It became a meme, and people started REALLY liking the look of those laundry detergent pods. So somebody somewhere started a challenge.
"Hey guys, you guys will eat pretty lookin' poison only cause I told you that you should."
"Ya ya ya!!!"
And then of course like all things the older media wanted to make sense of what those "Young wippersnappers" were doing with their life. The short answer? Nothing.
7.) Where did the event happen? All over the world, as long as those parts had a bad sense of humor and no brain, plus some wifi connection.
8.) When? Well the first death was very recent, within the last month. Sucks eh?
9.) I feel like I already explained this. Why did it happen? Wanna get into it? Aight, well.
One, this is the worlds way of saying, ya people are stupid and we are killin em off so y'all don't have to deal wit' em. Two, people are dumb, and think it will be funny, and meme worthy, until they are laying in the morgue with the sheet over their face, or in the ICU. One of the two.
10.) What might my opinion be? Can I cuss? Maybe? It is technically my own work and opinion, right. Should I censor myself? Nah. I think it is the most god damn stupid thing ever. Like I said throughout the entirety of this blog post, survival of the fittest.
11.) I already linked it, but I'll do it again. Click on the this sentence.
12.) Look up along the post for your picture.
I might not comment at all. (Joke)
